Front-end vibration
My 2005 S-Type's front-end has been vibrating severely at highway speeds & under braking. Also, there is a noticeable clunk over sharp-edged driveways. Recently it has begun to wander & there's a grinding noise coming from the front-left when turning right on downhill freeway on-ramps. It feels as if the left front wheel/brake assembly is floppy. I bought the car with 150,000 miles on it. It now has 180,000 miles. Any ideas on the causes of these issues & how to fix them?
Sounds like it's getting bad. Take it to get looked at, the issue should be immediately apparent with the vehicle on a hoist with the wheel off from the sounds of it.
at this point, could be anything, and im betting more than one thing is blown suspension wise... get the suspension sorted and make sure it gets a good alignment when done too. These cars are known to eat through front tires with bad alignments, and they're very commonly found out of alignment....
