Front lower wishbone replacement
The front bushing on both sides of my 2001 S Type 3L petrol (VIN 3277590053006L40904) front lower wishbone are worn out. Can anyone give me some guidance on how to remove and replace please.
Assuming you have the necessary tools, remove the road wheels, brake calipers and discs, and the retaining nuts from the upper and lower ball joints. Next remove the suspension uprights from the upper control arms and lower arms.
Remove the three bolts securing the steering rack to the front crossmember and lower the steering rack to allow removal of the lower control arm rear bolt.
Reassembly is in the reverse order. Remember to reinstall the lower control arm bolts with the threads facing towards the front of the vehicle. Use anti seize compound on bolt shanks to allow for easy future removal. Install new nylon lock nuts if available and torque to correct specs with the road wheels installed and the vehicle on a level surface.

@davivern, when removing the bottom bolt from the strut assembly, inspect the bush as it's a know wear item.
