Super_Jag:
Do you have to change the gaskets when removing or installing the super charger?? I have a used super charger that I will send out for port and polish and want to be prepared for the reinstall. I am hoping to reuse the gaskets but don't know?

yeah, let us know about the gaskets. I'm going to send out my unit to get ported so I'll need those too.

get a new supercharger gasket, and throttle body gasket, don't worry about the gaskets for the heat exchangers, you can reuse those.

Yep, I had the same issue, constant squeaking, I replaced mine as well when I had it all apart.

Super_Jag thanks!! That's what I was looking for. Somebody who has actually done it and what results they had.

But now I am second guessing myself because the STR is my daily driver and don't want to risk tearing up a gasket and have to wait for a replacement. I think I will get the blower inlet and outlet gaskets at least before I do the blower swap.

Hate to revive and old thread, but what were the results from all this effort and what happened to the car?

I only read the first page but saw negative responses to nitrous....my response is you are all crazy....the 4.2 handles all the nitrous I give it...I spray it everyday here in Tucson Arizona and my car runs GREAT....150 SHOT STOCK TIMING AND EVRRYTHING OVER 40 BOTTLES THROUGH IT
