My 2004 S-type will only shift into reverse and back into park. It won't go past reverse to neutral or the forward gears. It was fine yesterday and has had no prior problem. Read something about a gear lock feature or maybe a fuse. Need advice quick. Thank you.

Answer maybe be found under your vehicle (drivers side of transmission) 2 - 8mm bolts that anchor the shift cable to transmission have come loose, very common problem.
