With regard to the 550hp issue, as you can probably tell I'm don't really know much about cars ... so I don't really know how true this is. Guys on the site seem pretty knowledgeable (much more so than I!) so maybe it isn't 550. I'm only going by what I was told by the seller and research I did from the previous sale, which supported the re-mapping claim. I can only say that this car is quite definitely noticeably quicker than my previous str. Also, yes, it is a methanol/water boost system that I haven't tried yet. What exactly does it do? If it only increases the power by 1.5hp what is its purpose? (Again, I was told differently). Anyway, the car is what it is and I'm pretty happy with it.
The video clip is not of my car. Mine is black with Cosworth type grills in the bonnet, lowered suspension, sideskirts and spoiler and 19" wheels. I'll try to put up some photos soon for anyone interested.
Thanks once again for your help so far
Is that the ex-vernon Kay one that was up for sale recently with the blacked out windows? Definitely individual

(Edit) - It is the Vernon Kay one with the gangsta windows - considered that and nearly went to take a look myself. Just found a thread about it on something called fiestaturb.com weirdly(below) Good choice.

Yes guys that's the car (ex Vernon Kaye) - and I don't mind the pics up at all.
The gearbox slip/jump was indeed the torque converter, which I have had replaced and it drives like a dream. Thanks for the advice.
You've made me unsure about the hp rating. As I've said, all I know is that it's very significantly more than my previous STR. And I can't argue with the science re the methanol mix. But when it's switched on, the kick down is again noticeably faster too. I guess I'll be replacing the TC again at some stage ....
Thanks again for all the help.

Good to hear it's fixed!

If you care - and you likely don't LOL - you could put the car on a dyno or try a 1/4 mile on a track.
