Default Great deal on brakes/rotors or crap?

What do you guys think about this and the similar brake and rotor packages offered on eBay?

Pretty much a crap shoot using cross drilled and slotted rotors.

Pure bling.

+1 to that, you will not see any improvement with drilled / slotted discs/rotors just more noise

Drilled rotors tend to remain cooler during heavy braking. However the average driver wont really benefit from that as heavy braking tends to mean, track driving. I bought drilled rotors simply because they look cool

What about the ceramic pads?
What kind of brake setups is everyone using? Thoughts?

Basically we have the same vehicle.

I had the original rotors turned for $10.00 ea. and tossed on the best ceramic pads Auto Zone had in stock. Everything stops just dandy and the brake dust is just about nil for 2 weeks of cruising.

Looks like junk to me. I would stay clear.

After doing some research and getting advice here, I went with AKEBONO Ceramics and RAYBESTOS Advance Technology Rotors. So far so good. It does seem that the rear brakes and rotors wear much faster than the fronts. Might be something to consider when getting choosing quality brakes.

It's always been my experience that front brake wear faster, are you sure you don't have sticking calipers at the rear

So let me ask you guys this:

If you could get the same brand steel cross-drilled rotors and non-drilled for the same price, what would you do?

I'd even pay extra for non-drilled or slotted.
