Default groan

My 2002 S type has developed a groan or moan in the rear suspension. It sounds like dry sway bar bushings. It shot a little lube in them and that did not cure the problem. Once I was uder the car it sounds more like the sound is coming from the rear shocks. As you let the car down off the jack it groans until it stops compressing. The car does have the CATS system so just changing the shocks without being being sure is really not a cheap option. There has not been any waring message on the dash or codes yet. Has anyone has any similar problems?

Thanks

What lube did you use? Silicone spray is what should be used and not WD40 or oil.

Silicone spray is what I used. I may try soaking them again. As with most things on this car if it were not such a pain to get to I would just remove them and really lube them.
