Default ground Issues

Hello all.
2000 S Type 3.0L. I don't seem to have any grounds to all four side markers. I had the rear working for a bit. Pulled the REM out...found nothing, put it back and voila rear side markers. couple days later...no lights again. I tested rear and there is power there just no ground (with the headlight switch on.) Also no licence plate lights but I haven't looked into that at all yet just put new bulbs in. Any suggestions are welcome. TIA

That is quite normal. The lighting on these cars is wired differently than most. Power is a constant, and the grounds are switched by a control module.

Not quite sure what your fix will be, but don't let this wiring quirk throw you for a loop.

I am almost sure that Gus has all the electrical guides on his site. I sent him DVDs full of info and he has searched the internet to accumulate a very organized data base.

Here is the guide for your car.

Thank You. I down loaded one of the internet but it was for a 2001...wire colours were wrong. This will be very helpful
