You remove the caliper, remove the bracket, and the give the bitch a tap with a rubber mallet if she's stuck.

Bigdreams the Wizard...I wondered the same thing. Off topic but what do you know about sun damage to Jag paint? Do I have to getthe whole car painted (because I'm sure they'll tell me that)or can they touch up the damage areas?

Depends...usually, when there has been damage to one part of the paint, the entire car has received similar abuse so it's not so far off from looking completely shitty. I personally would paint the entire car, but take some pics and I'll give you my opinion. Make sure you take side shots in the sun so that you can see how well the glare reflects off the paint.

WOW.. so I had to go get a torch... and like set the freaking rotor on fire.. after that pound on it for about 25 minutes and it finally came off..

it's weird.. the other side.. only needed a light tap on a hand and it was off.

While your at it YoungABS...............check out local detailers. If you have any professionals near you and depending on how far its gone, they might be able to help for a fraction of the cost. You'd be amazed at what these guys can do......See Florida Phils pics in the detailing section. I know its on a new car but all the same i have seen some unbelievable reuslts on older cars that you would not believe. Could save you a small fortune.

Ahh. Another fan of the XF...not many like it as much as I do. I'll just hope it keeps it's value well, unlike the S-type. Might make it harder for me to get, but I would like for it to hold some value if I do.
