I picked up these BF's for my STR becuase they do handle very well and I like the look, but when it began to snow and lets say 1/2' if that was sticking on the ground it wouldnt move up the slightest of inclines, a good friend who was riding with me who drives an AWD turbo suburu was loving it for once, as on dry pavement its a different story. When it snows it doesnt get driven, period...

I LOVE THE BFG'S t/a kdw2's.!!![sm=Awwww.gif]

I wanted those on the x-type but they were too expensive...i may be crazy but I also pick tires by the look of the tread (among other things) and those tires are my favorite!

I've had the radial t/a on a few different cars and I've loved those too!

Hey evan you ever try some winter tires?

I was running Michelin Pilot HX MXM4 on my Sport...Absolutely amazing handling in anything but snow. Too bad they list for nearly $250 each!

No winter tires as of yet, I live in DC right now which doesnt see too much of any snow and everyone here freaks out when it does (as they cant drive in normal conditons let alone snow), so I stay off the roads for safety reasons when it snows, my excuse to stay home and relax and not get rear-ended. If I ever move back home to the midwestor further north I would have to consider.

It's funny you speak of inability to drive on snow let along normal conditions! LOL

Here in DFW the drivers are either retarded or zombies! 80 degrees blue sky and they have to get in an accident. 60 is the speed limit the average speed here is like 50-55mph and that is on the expressway!

When we first got down here to Texas it snowed and everyone was like "I CAN'T DRIVE!!!" State Farm shut down at 3 o'clock in the afternoon for a storm that wasn't going to arrive until after 6pm![&:]

It's an 05 Sport 3.0. On the sticker it was supposed to have the 18" rims but the guy must have opted for the premium 17s. They look good though, so I'm not too disappointed. Had pics but must have deleted them. I'll get it cleaned up this week and post some pics.

snook-my buddy had the blizzaks they were nice tires. He paid 50 bucks a tire for his 18's. Got a huge deal on em!

jjones-the dsc is helpful for when you don't want to slide about. Keep in mind when in deep snow having it off helps greatly. I assume you have a 04/05 sport with the factory ground effects kit? Pics please!

That sucks that he took the 18's off. Those things are lovely!

I saw a couple 2005 sports on craigslist near me in the 13k range which is insane!

The schools over here NJ/PA border close as soon as it is in the forcast for that day!My area is a little tough to predict, there are so many times when they say blizzard and we get 3 inches. Last year was a prime example. But when we get hit, we get hit hard. I actually look forward to bad weather sometimes - I'm weird like that - I love the feeling to be stranded in my home in front of the fireplace watching it snow...

I would imagine any rear wheel drive car with wide tires to be horrible in the snow. Many times I have driven home and the car always goes better with traction control off and eaasy on the gas. But I always scare myself to death some how when I fishtail - it gets me every time lol!

I bought mine with 32K miles on it. Dealership sold it to me for $21,500. It's a certified used so has 3 years full warranty. I thought that was a pretty good buy for this ride. That's what Kelly Blue Book put it at for retail.

Man I loved fish tailing in mine...I miss that part...I can't even get my v8 powered 2wd mountaineer to do a burn out! The stupid thing has nearly 11" wide tires so it's hard to get the thing to do anything. ALthough it is exciting to find a road wet from sprinklers, it doesn't rain too much here in texas...

Yeah, once you get the hang of it - it can be quite fun... I use to go to the shopping plazas when I was a kid and practice all my dukes of hazzard skills there.

LOL...that is can that it can...although I prefer a true rwd vehicle for donuts and erratic driving in parking lots...the awd kind of does more of a drift rather than a true circular donut...more like an oval donut! Not to mention the awd usually pulls your front end forward at the least opportune time! I have video evidence of this! I'll have to get my brother to send it!
