hey guys, have my center console apart. It was all broken and loose so I figured I would just take it apart. I am talking to a guy who is going to make a fiberglass one for me. I would like to know what would need to be done before it goes back together, shifter cable etc... My shifter cable seems a bit stiff sometimes when I move it from park to R or D. Other times it seems more looser and easier to move. The housing inside was upgraded to the metal. thanks guys...

 

It may be stiff when you park but don't use the parking brake before putting the shifter in park. That's what commonly causes the linkage to break when you try to use the car next.
