Head Lamp failing to "ignite"
Last summer I had to have a drooping headlamp replaced ($1600...) along with having the headlamp ballast module replaced on the other side (covered by the Jaguar-select warranty... ;-). However, since then the lamp with the replaced ballast as occasionally failed to ignite (10-15% of the times the head lights come on). Does anyone have a idea about what could be causing that? I'm not really comfortable with taking it back to the dealer with a problem that they might not be able to reproduce without having some idea of any underlying causes.
Thanks much

>Can you swap parts from side to side and see what happens?
Thanks, I suppose I could, but perhaps I'll just wait to see if it starts happening more often (and then bring to the dealer since they did the original work... ;-)

Next time your headlamp fails to ignite, take several photos of the front of the car. There's your proof for the dealership regardless of whether or not the light is still in failure mode when you take it to the dealership for repair....
