You need to supply your VIN before anyone can check that for you. You could also contact a Jaguar dealership and ask them to print the factory build sheet for you. It's always a good idea to have the build sheet in hand for any vehicle you own. Again, you would need to supply them with your VIN....

Looks like halogen

See FordEtis home page

You're lucky - easy to change a bulb, don't have powerwash that can fail, motors that fail, etc

The xenon bulbs are a nice bright white light, so to look right you'll need to change the sidelight bulbs and both dipped and main beam bulbs.
I didnt change the sidelight bulbs at first, then I could see how yellow they were.
The same for the fog light bulbs which I havent changed yet.

By fitting 55W xenon bulbs to mine its improved night time vision and safety of course. With titanium paint the bright white lights look great.

Lucky you, my HIDs have cost me a bundle and I really don't think the brightness justified the price (get off my lawn...)

Yes you can swap the halogen for xenon in the headlights same as on my 02 car.

You need the generic reference for each bulb type for your car and then use those to find xenon replacements. ie: H7, HB3 etc

These are what I have fitted, but they might not be the same on yours being a later model.

Headlight bulbs dipped beam: H7 55W Super White Xenon HID
Headlight bulbs main beam: HB3 65w Super White Xenon HID
Sidelight bulbs: T10 W5W 6 LED white Xenon

I use well established UK motorfactors on eBay because they charge a lot less than high street shops. I fitted them myself without any major problems apart from the space being a bit tight for my hands. Making sure not to touch the glass part of the new bulbs with my fingers of course.

Nope, mine are the real thing, straight from Jaguar, suffered from the familiar drooping light syndrome. Cost me $1400 to have the dealer replace one light assembly (hadn't learned of the "brutal" screw fix).

Still don't think they're particularly brighter than conventional lights.

Hi All,

anyone with pictures that have fitted xenon or canbus bulbs ? I would like to see a comparison.

In my pursuit for increased illumination I have retro fitted aftermarket projectors and Hid bulbs/ballasts.

I can post pictures of light output later.

Hi,

Both images are of the low/dipped beam, HIDs inside of Morimoto fx-r projectors . My main/high beams are standard oem bulbs.

So why wouldn't you use the main ones on a road like that?

Those look very bright as low beams. Would be interested in knowing how you went about installing/fitting the offmarket projecters and ballast.

Hi Jagv8, my main beams(high beams) are stock bulbs and are very low in light output in comparison.

Sjgh,

This took a lot of trial and error and modification of the stock housings. the installation of the HID is relatively simple in comparison to the mounting and alignment of the after market projector into the reflector portion of the headlight.

I have taken a few more pictures, the first picture is of the regular low beam 1/2 output, you can see the sharp cutoff limiting the light output.

Second pictures is of low beam at full output.

1/2
