Thanks for your interest and comments/advice.

When I got the readings the other day, I immediately ordered a DCCV.

To day I removed the DCCV from the vehicle and it looked ok, not gunked up, not rotted

I put a ohms meter across it and it read around 15.9 ohms, both sides about the same.

I put 12v to it and each side opened and closed, so I think its ok, that’s assuming 15.9 ohms is ok.

When the new one comes I will check what ohms it reads.

hi guys, i cant for the life of me find a fuse listing, i have a listing fore the relays
in the front power distribution fuse box, i have two fuses missing, no F14 and no F34, they are 15A.
should i have fuses in these spots in my 2003, V6 s-type and what is D3 and D4, are they fuses.
as it looks like i have to remove the dash, can i up grade it with say a 2005/6 type dash

Huh? Is something else going on? There's no need to touch the dash when replacing the DCCV.

Or are you talking about removing the control module for an inspection? That's always a good idea on a 2003+ model when the DCCV acts up.

As far as those missing mystery fuses, some blank spots may have been for optional equipment not installed. Wiring diagrams here with more details:

Had a little more time to look. Those two fuses are for optional HID headlamps, which I'm guessing your car does not have. In the front power distribution box, you probably don't have relays R10 or R13, also part of the HID lighting system.

See figures 01.2 and 08.2 here:

http://www.jagrepair.com/images/Elec...al%20Guide.pdf

Conventional lighting is in figure 08.1.

Might want to update your signature. It still says 2002. Lots of differences pre- and post-facelift.

But how do I repair that, I have repaired boards in an earlier life, 65 years ago but they were no where near that fine

You don't. Save yourself some major grief and send it off to be repaired AND upgraded so it doesn't happen again:

Resist the temptation to bridge the damage with a jumper wire:

You have encountered a VERY common problem on 2003+ cars. This is not uncharted territory. The problem is so common, a guy set up a small business to repair and upgrade these modules. As stubborn as I can be, if I were in the same situation, it's still time to pay da man and have it done right.

Hi again

My heater valve arrived at last, two months it took.

Before I took the centre consol out, I disconnected the battery.

Now I have found the key doesn’t fit the boot/trunk.

How do I fold the rear seat forward so I can get to the battery

thanks

Here you go:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...ng-port-87362/

If you can get in the cabin, open the hood and connect power via the front power distribution box as detailed above. Or access the +VE stud behind the wheel liner for the right front tire. With either method, you should then be able to open the trunk via the button on the dash.

Dont bother trying to read milliamps. These cars are so old theres resistance in every connector. Looks for my post on the climate control module. Lots of pictures and I believe I posted the part number for the resettable fuse that is used to replace the burnt out trace. The ground is switched with a transistor in the CCM if I recall but not sure of the pn. I may have posted it. Cant recall. Its easy to pull the CCM and open it to see if the traces are burnt. Its probably sufficient just to measure ohms from the fuse block (fuse out) to each ground wire on the ccm connector. If they dont match the valve probably isnt any good. Its unlikely theyll both fail and read the same resistance unless its 0 or open. Id say 0 or open says the valve is bad. If a trace in the ccm is melted the valves bad.
