I recently tried to start my 2003 jaguar s type and it wont turn over. I got lights and wipers and radio but nothing else, I replaced the battery and after several attempts it started once. I then messed up and tried to start it in neutral, now its stuck in reverse,the key is stuck in the ignition, and I'm jus stuck. any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

Is it really stuck in reverse? With key in (probably need position II) and foot on brake (if needed) you should be able to select any gear position.

 

Check the shifter linkage @ the transmission.

 

Good point - if it won't shift as I described then likely a problem with the 2 bolts which should be on the side of the trans.
