Help! Intake Manifold removal, 3.0L vacuum "quick" disconnects
Nobody mentioned this one on the IMT o-ring threads...I'm stumped!
"The evaporative emission canister purge valve transfer pipe is attached to the induction manifold by a quick release coupling.Disconnect the evaporative emission canister purge valve transfer pipe."
It is on the bottom just aft of the throttle body. Pic taken with throttle body removed and a mirror under the quick-connect.
Still looking for the thread where someone explained to Joyce'sJag how to do the brake booster vac line quick-disconnect on the back of the manifold. No joy with that one either...

Found Brutal's advice to Rick on the brake booster line on the back..I'll go try that, but the evap emissions purge valve looks way-different.

Replacement of that side could be done under 3 hours, make sure you have jtis or www.alldatadiy.com for that procedure. The only problem i had doing the pass. Side was, there is a vacuum line at the back of the intake i could not figure out how to disconnect and still to this day i play with the "replaced connector" and can't figure it out. Since you have replaced the imt's you should be more than able to accomplish this job as well!
Drivers side (us) should be easy and less time consuming.
you push in the black ring around the vac pipe and while holding in pull the line out to disconnect. It works like a air hose connector. And ndy4eva, on the cam cover leak, pull the coils up and out to check for oil in the wells. If there is, then you need gaskets

I got it...finally! turned out the evap emissions purge line on the front went pretty smoothly after I held my tongue right...but brake booster line on the rear...well, no other way to say it, contortions req'd to reach it prevented me from holding my tongue right and I had to ultimately take the manifold loose and rotate it about 70 deg. for access....then it worked. AFTER dropping my mirror into the belly pan...but fortunately the magnet retrieved it. Next problem: finding an IMT fixing bolt (M4 X 33mm? wshr-head) on Sunday after New Year's.....ahh...maybe the daughter doesn't go anywhere on Monday...
Looks like the lower bolt on the upper IMT maybe fell into the belly pan under previous ownership and whoever was performing the service (and using yellow o-rings) said, "WTH, I'll use two in the lower and one in the upper..it'll hunt...."

Sorry I don't have the part number handy.
Its the "brake line vacuum quick connect at the back of the plenum" is that what you told the dealer?
When I broke mine, I was able to use black electrical tape for a quick fix until I could purchase the new part.
Hang on I will find a link with a real time picture.

Oh I see, I thought you broke the purge valve transfer pipe quick release coupling in the front under front of intake. I actually broke that AND the brake booster vacuum hose
I was able to order the brake hose that goes in the back of the plenum. I got the purge valve transfer pipe out ok but not without breaking the little plastic ring part.

Actually now that I looked at it again in better daylight, it looks like the same part for both front and back. I found it here:
Jaguar S-Type Power Brake Booster Adapter W0133-1904807 - Genuine at Auto Parts Network
Thanks for your help.

That's the quick connect.
Good to know that there is a forward one as well. It has been so long ago since I have been under the hood that I don't recall the forward quick connect.
YW glad to have helped.
Me to John, me too!
