Hello , I'm trying to program a 3 button fob but I've not had any luck. I've tried the 8key turn method, the four one with flashing headlights but to no avail . It's a 1999 car and the fob I bought was off eBay , so it's never been set with the car. Any ideas would be appreciated.

 

You need to go to the dealer or an indie or locksmith with the right equipment.

FYI, I just did that with our 06. Bought the fob from ebay and found an indie who could do it for a fraction of the dealer cost. Shop around before you take it to the dealer.

 

I got 2 fobs from eBay for $55, gave one to my indie as payment for programming the other. We're both happy.

They don't need the same numbers. No-one else has ever claimed this and plenty have bought any batch. Probably cheaper to repair, though.
