Default HID Fogs

I have read many many post on this so I'll try to keep this simple.

I have a 2005 I believe the Fogs are H11 is there a direct plug and play Hid kit for the Fogs?
If so what brand?

I like ddm tunning kits but I have no idea if they are plug and play.

As always thanks for the replies

I'm sure George will jump on this....

Yes, the fogs are H11...

Just installed a DDM kit on my 300 for the low beams... It took all of 15 minutes! The ballasts are a bit large but robust. I bought the "extras" yet it was only a fraction more than high quality halogen bulbs.. and the light output is MUCH better. Then again, the 300 does have the projector lenses standard that makes them a natural for the HID's.

What Jeff Said...

DDM is owned by a good friend of mine, good stuff...

I'm not sure what the proper bulb size is on an 05. It's H3 on a 2003.

Defintely get the $4 ballast mounting brackets as an option. Other than that it's pretty straight forward.

Let me know if you have any quesitons.

Take care,

George

Yeah I am really impressed with ddm...They just don't list a kit for Jaguar so I am concerned am I going to have to cut and splice wires or will it be plug and play?
Also should I get 35w for the fogs and I want them kinda blueish like the factory HID'S so maybe 6000k?
Thanks for replies guys

There is no real any car specific Jaguar kit.

Well, you MAY have to cut the end off the factory fog plug and wire it to the ballast. I think you don't have to with the h11 kit. I did, because it makes it much easier. I used male / female quick disconnects and heat shrunk them. I put a set of males on the factory plug so I can also replace it if needed.

I have 6k DDM in head and fogs. It's a bit too blue for my taste. 4300 is a match to factory headlights. Don't do 55w in a fog light. There isn't enough room to properly dissipate heat and I fear you'll kill bulbs quickly.

Take care,

George

I am getting ready to order, H11 35w they don't offer 4300k they offer 4500k would this be the same as the factory HID color?

also no $4 bracket is listed a $12.50 HID harness dual in dual out is availb.
Do I need it?

they also offer a error eliminator for $15 what about this?

Sorry for the questions just want to get it right.

I was able to find the $ 4 brackets

What are those brackets for? I never remember using them for the install.

Brackets:

http://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/HID-Bracket-FullSized

For mounting the full sized ballast the "real' way rather than with double sticky tape.

No harness or HID warning elminator needed for 35w fogs on the S-Type.

Take care,

George
