Default How to replace anti-roll bar bushes

I've just replaced the anti-roll bar bushes on my V6 S-type. For anyone that contemplates doing this job, be warned you will need to remove the alternator, drain the coolant system, remove the heater valve and the mounting bracket to reach the front right hand bolt. The other three bolts are easy.

Thanks for the reminder, can't wait!
I assume it's the same process for the x202 onwards? Same process for V8's?

IIRC, on my MY2001 car, I had to loosen/remove the heater valve and the mounting bracket but I didn't touch the rest, of that I'm 100% sure. I expect (it was a while ago now) it needed some gymnastics with odd tools but it was possible.

Thanks for the heads-up

It may be possible to do with the alternator in situ but it is easier to get to the heater valve without (more access for my right arm). I removed mine anyway because it was faulty. My recon alternator lasted about 200 miles! It has been sent back. The bushes are done, but I am replacing the heater valve too as I had to remove it anyway (Sometimes my car vents blow hot when they should be cold).
