Default IDS Locked out of ECU Car won't start

Guys, I need severe help. I know I made a mistake but I need help. The 1st mistake I made was buying this software thinking I knew what I was doing. The Software stated It had communication issues with the ECM. I tried to re configure the ECM, thinking that would solve my issue and that I'd finally be able to read the ECM and view my codes. The re configuration failed and eventually my car no longer started. Lights still come on, Key still locks the doors, Radio works, other than the car not starting everything else is pretty much normal. I'm not sure what else to do. Please don't recommend the Jaguar dealer as multiple have told me they do not want to take on the weight of this problem. I like the car but I can't help but thank that I ruined it.
If someone can walk me through it, It'd be appreciated. I wouldn't even mind paying. I just want my car back.

First thing you need is the hefty power supply you can read about on this site. Do you have one? It's essential - and a charger is not good enough.

Is something like this qualified? I will borrow one from my mechanic tomorrow. I’m hoping this will help get my car started.

Can you at least give some car details? Include engine and miles on the car. We need to start at the beginning!

No you need a regulated DC power supply with low ripple! Not any kind of battery chargers/jumpers.
Here is Jaguar requirements for the power supply. Also NEVER use the laptop without it being plugged into AC power.
These two shortcuts are responsible for most of the bricking car problems.
As I have posted before SDD consumes massive power and I have measured 30+ amps with the car off!

Jaguar issued a TECH TIP and an ADMIN TSB when I worked at the dealer.
Here is the info I got.
WDS/IDS are pretty much the same.
Never used SDD.

Car has around 113K miles. My laptop was charging but my battery was on a maintenance battery source. That I soon realized dropped a tremendous amount of voltage from the battery. Sorry I haven’t seen your before posts.

Also, the car is going to my mechanic tomorrow? Should he be able to rectify the ECM if he doesn’t have the IDS software? Or does he need my laptop and software. I know he has the Expensive Snap-on stuff. Would that cause any issues?

Again you CAN NOT use a battery tender!
Read what Jaguar requires. You will have problems otherwise.

Yea, I was just letting you know what I tried yesterday, I’m aware now that that was a mistake.

Thank you for the links. Do you know if a shop should be able to carry out this procedure? I don’t think he has the same IDS program that I have.

I have no idea what other software/hardware will configure modules.
I use the WDS and IDS. (same as I used at Jaguar dealer)

Ok Thank you so much for the insight.
I purchased the battery charger/maintainer. I’ll try this process again today.
is it true after following the last step that this takes about and hour?

I mostly used IDS to CLEAR ADAPTATIONS for the gearbox module and sometimes I get a message that the ECM software needed to be 'updated' to the latest version and that the procedure would take longer. (DO YOU WISH TO CONTINUE?)

I hit the 'TIC' YES and settle in for the process. Sometimes as long as 45 minutes if I remember correctly.

Back in the early 2000s the guys at Jaguar Technical Hotline told us to use a large shop battery charger to ensure enough battery power during any configuration processes.

Later Jaguar recommended/demanded a 'clean-power' supply and one was sent and charged to the franchise dealer.

Have you tried using a previous session where all was well if you have one. I had my laptop lose power because not plugged in in the middle of a tcm reflash and all hell broke loose. Luckily i had been using sdd a while and had several sessions to chose from and it worked. I was pretty shook up until i got lucky and did that. Made me feel better too when i researched what i did and found a lot of info after the fact

when the main screen comes up asking to start a new session or previous session or saved session. Previous will show dates after you select it. Saved would have to be saved by you. Using previous allows you to see the state of the modules. You can always select another session if you just end session. Always end session before exiting the sdd program
