Nice job, SuperJag. You have managed to make the 6 cylinder look great.

Could you tell me what we are looking at? What mods have you done? Have you modded the ECU to take advantage of the improved airflow, or does it need it?

I use something I bought from a motorcycle shop that is a metal sealer, since they use a lot of polished parts on bikes.

well I had fun polishing headlight this weekend the were looking bad. I wanted to change them so I painted the housing flat black and wanted to do something like the angel eyes but of course not to look like a bmw copycat, so instead of all white I put some amber in there here are the final pics.

I get more feedback from newcougar.org and contour.org. I have learn a lot about the max hp that the 3.0 Duratec blocks can handle from them and about turbo charging the engine. Even the Noble forums have help me alot, they were behind my turbocharger choice. Oh well..... to each his own.

Keep in mind that the majority of forum members here use our cars primarily as highway cruisers, not race cars. I need our S-Type to last a long time while costing me as little as possible, and I'm much more interested in the maintenance I need to do as opposed to souping it up (a big waste of money, in my opinion)....

I understand your point of view, thanks for your honesty. Believe me, mine is a daily driver, so for it to last a long time is also important, hell I have 115,000 miles on it. I enjoy making my car different and that is why I post my modifications on the board I just would like to hear both sides, there is no grey area, either you like it or you don't. I have no desire to start a fight online, I am more mature than that. Thank you again.

That is really cool. I personally would not do anything cosmetic to the car, although I think that the engine detailing on these vehicles is sorely lacking. With money and time, I would probably do something about it. The new intake on your car is a definite plus.

When I get the money, I plan on removing the speed limiter on the S-type. I think it sucks that my S-type won't stretch out faster than a Hyundai Sonata. I haven't hit the top speed on the car as of yet. The fastest she has gone is 115 mph, but I would like to take it to a track and wind her out, if only for a brief period.

Does anyone know where I could get that limiter removed?

My thoughts on modding.....I personally like when someone takes the incentive to stand out ahead of the heard, especially when it is original and looks professional!! People pay BIG bucks for customizers for this reason. When a craftsman can go into his sanctuary, possibly grab a cold 1 or 2, see his vision, fabricate and install (such as in this case "angel eyes") kickback grab another cold 1, smile and pat oneself on the back and say nice.... very nice! Move onto the next vision is true artistry. Kudos! I also believe if one feels the stock look is acceptable more power to that individual and to his/her pocketbook.

I wish I had the time (and monies) to invest with our vehicles, but 2 college funds, retirement and a home which is in the progress of being remodeled is quite draining. Not to mention chasing 2 ankle biters around all day!

No offense meant to anyone.

Anytime someone channels their creativity and imagination into performing modifications we all win. I love the idea of modifications and enhancements. That's why I joined. Thanks Super_Jag.
