I've moved you to your own thread in the S Type section.

To start a new thread look at the top left of the list of threads in any section and you will see a new thread button, just click on that and you're on your way.

You need something like this:

Search: fuel rail tool | Line Disconnect Tool | AutoZone.com

Smile The fuel is spraying

Thanks for the help with the tool to disconnect the incoming fuel line. I noticed that there is an air intake valve on the incoming fuel line...It has no pressure...should it be under pressure when key is off? The replacement part is $167 which looks like it tracks all the way back to the fuel pump close to the firewall.

So if fuel is spraying when key is turned on at the fitting into the fuel rail the answer is removal and replacement with the factory part???

sorting out the best plan..thanks

Unhappy fuel is spraying

Got the incoming fuel line off...tool worked great...unfortunately there is a crack at the base where the fuel line connects. Looks like it is all one piece as part of the fuel injection rail.

Question: can you weld the metal connection if I remove the fuel injection rail?

Question: any special tools need to remove the drivers side fuel injection rail on the 2003 S type 4.2 V8 ? thanks john
