Default Instructions for dashboard removal

Hi,

I am looking for instructions on removing the S type dashboard in order to access one of the actuator motor.
This is located behind the gauge cluster and behind the air ducts.

Basically, the air conditioning is stuck on defrost and the issue is not the dccv or the ccm. It is either one of the motors or an obstruction on the vent doors. In either case, I need to remove the dashboard.

The ATC motor is the part in the rear with the white sticker:

I don't see how a motor can cause that. I think you should concentrate on the sensors (incl temp sensors & hi-lo pressure switch) instead. If not them, then the wiring or module.

Jag-specific OBD tools can read & some can actuate the various parts.

Have you had the problem verified at the dealer? I would make sure that WDS/IDS calls it a problem. All the doors and actuators can be tested prior to removing anything.

Plus the reported number of bad actuators and or doors is almost zero??

Just don't want you doing a bunch of unneeded work and potential for breaking very expensive plastic trying to fix something that is not broken?
