Hi all,
Wondering if anybody has had the same issue with me re the iphone. I own a 2003 str and since changing phone to an iphone approx 3 years ago when ever i make or take a call in the vehicle i seem to get some interferance on the phone. The interferance is not so apparent from my (although it is evident) end but is more apparent from the receivers end.
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Yeah, this is a known issue. It's the occupant sensors in the cabin that interferes with the iPhone. I've seen members plug in the apple ear-bud/hands free mic that comes with the iPhone and that fixes it. Also, if you have the in-car handsfree bluetooth that works without issues.

 

Apple didn't test an iPhone in a Jaguar S-Type? aww.

 

I had the same issue in my 05 S-Type with my iPhone 4G, and even with the use of Bluetooth the calls were difficult to work with. I've since upgraded to the 4S and the problem has vanished! *Knock on wood trim*

 

My iPhone 4S noe works in the STR. No more annoying clicking
