I would think that would be the first thing that they would verify considering how software sensitive these transmissions are! Especially after how many times that he's had it in. Now they can start charging him for diagnostics again.

well ive seen some useless technicians... but there is a difference between reprogramming the tcm and reprogramming it with coded access.. if you don't clear the shift adaptations and reset the software to the original to the car then reprogram the tcm with coded access to latest software it will never take the latest software... the new trani will have it's own new tcm with not the latest software in it.. you have to check the latest software .. after reprogramming it as new..and in the u.s.a most of the jag techs are kids... they are in the pace programe for 14 months or so then there fully qualifyied lol .Experience comes with years of hands on ...

I agree 100% about experience. trouble shooting problems is a real art that can't allways be done by reading codes because sometimes the problems aren't coded..
