Default Jaguar S Type Arden Rear Spoiler

Hello,

I am really interested in the Arden Rear Spoiler for the 2004 and prior models, but I have a 2005. My question is if there are any major differences between the facelifted trunks and the prior to 2004 trunks, like the degree of curve or how wide the trunk is. I'm just wondering if the spoiler would still fit the 2005 and onwards models, and was just listed for the older ones. Thanks

The 2005MY onwards trunk lid is not the same as the pre-2005MY item. In the words of jaguar. 'There are no carry over components'.
See page 70 of this 05MY update document.

The pre 2005MY spoilers will not fit the later cars. This is why it is stated by Arden that it 'Fits models prior to 2004.' (The first 05MY cars were built in January 2004.)

Funny thing.... Years ago someone had a pictured murdered out preface lift, all flat black with a wing on it like this one. Unfortunately I cannot find that picture here on the forum, that's what I really wanted to post.

Bob YOU need one on your STR :0

Jaguar fitted large airfoils to the DTM cars and it Looks like Arden condones use of the large wing and so do in this cars context .

And here I thought there was no aftermarket for our S-Types.

The original rear spoiler for the 05MY cars and newer is still available from jaguar for £126.76 +
However it is not painted. The part number is XR837448XXX

No photos sadly! As with many forum posts this has been decimated by Photobucket changing their policy.
