After thinking about it, I think I want the arden rear spoiler for my car. It just looks right and in my opinion just completes the car, I've always loved my x, but hated the way the tail looked. Too rounded.

Anyway I dug around and realized that there are two version of the arden rear spoiler one for cars up to model year 2003 and one for 2004+. I didnt realize there were any sheetmetal changes, but who knows.

Does anyone know of a US distributor for arden? Any idea on price? It says 400 euro on the arden pdf...

Any help or pointing in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Have you checked www.JaguarXP.com They sell alot of Arden stuff.

 

I think it looks good too, but $600-800 for a spoiler to me is a little extreme. Oh, and i dont think Jaguarxp carry it anymore, its not on the website, but if you call them, they may still have some.

 

I got mine on ebay. the guy painted it factory color (perfect match too!) I think it was 175 with shipping!

 

is this theflat lip spoiler, or is it the one that is pretty big and changes the whole shape of the lip of the trunk?

oh ok, Jaguarxp has that one for about 175 not painted, but the other arden one looks different, i remember seeing it for about $700 unpainted

The one I want is the Arden one that I guess changes the shape of the entire trunk.... Jaguar XP has the body kit, but not the spoiler listed.
The spoiler the other guy posted on the silver car is the factory spoiler, and that's about 120-180 dollars depending on where you look..

Honestly androulakis the spoiler isn't greatly different from the sport/stock spoiler...for the money you are going to spend why don't you buy 2 stock ones and glue them together and they'll be a little bit taller and give a little bit more of an impact...but honestly there isn't much of a difference from the chin spoiler to the arden one...my guess is thats why jaguarxp no longer carries it because its not worth it! Just my thoughts though...

Nice car androulakis...........spoiler looks pretty good too, although not that different from the stock spoiler I have on my Sport as far as I can see from the pics.

This spoiler does make the car look completely different from the back, when i saw it in person, it took me a few seconds to tell what car it was. although it did have the tails and quad exhaust.

 

The lights would do a huge thing to the back...the quad exhaust is a huge difference but I really don't think that the spoiler alone would do a huge difference worth the 600-700 more you'd spend for the stock
lip spoiler! Just my thinking though! If you look at the second pic down from androulakis post the one without the taillights but has the quad exhaust it doesn't look as dramatic to me! You take away the quad exhaust and those huge nardly tips and I don't think you'd notice...at least notice a huge huge difference...don't get me wrong the arden spoiler looks nice but not hugely dramatic...my 2 cents though so....don't exactly know what that counts for!

 

Absolutely love it...........the only thing that spoils it for me is the chrome inserts,window surrounds and rear section above the number plate.
Personally I think it would look a lot cleaner / meaner if they were colour coded.

Yeah I agree with you totally jim I don't like the whole chrome surrounds and what not...that't why I got the sport package as well. I love the whole arden rear with the quads, lip and the taillights but I would by far live with my sport lip spoiler vs. that arden one because of the price...it looks nice but to me looks less nice when you think about the price!
