Default Jaguar S-Type Brakes Binding

Hi All,

My Jaguar S-Type is a 2004 model, I am having a issue and when the car is in D or R, the car doesn't move unless I press the accelerator. When I release the accelerator the car seems to slow down by it self at a quick speed.

This has lead me to think that the breaks are binding and wanted to know if anyone knows what could be causing this. It has caused my ABS light to come on and force the car into limp mode (limp mode comes on and off)

Kind Regards,
Nino Grimace

You may have a stuck brake caliper. If you can get a light on the pads, check and see if they are all about the same. If one is real thin, start there and then have your abs unit checked.

You could also Jack the car up one wheel at a time and rotate the wheel. They should all move freely.

Mine were dragging after changing the pads because I had put the left where the right goes and vice versa. The pad with the springs belongs on the inside.
