Default Jaguar secret codes?

Do Jags have codes which can be only erased by a dealer?
Here is example of "secret" code I had to deal with:
My 01 Mercedes C240 had "check engine" light on and my $1500(when new) scanner couldn't erase. I went to local repair shop owner, he had $5k scanner, same story. Finally I went to GM dealership foreman mechanic and he could erase the code, I don't remember which scanner he used (not GM).

Yes.............Jaguar has the EDR DTC 1582. It is the Engine Data Recorder that cannot be cleared from the ECM without going to the vehicle config tab and read/clear the Engine Data Recorder info A and B. There is also something like 'start time reliability' that is logged in the module.

Basically it is 37 frames of the EVENT that caused to DTC to be logged.

It is useful info if you can read/interpret the frames data.

See TSB XT303-01 for more understanding.

Just a quibble... It's not really secret, as it's documented. Plus it doesn't seem to need clearing.
