Jaguar Stype 2004 v6 3.0 automatic
“Hello, I have a Jaguar and I have a problem with it.
The issue is that after the engine warms up, it doesn’t let me accelerate beyond 2000 rpm. This prevents the transmission from shifting gears and obviously accelerating beyond those mentioned rpm.
It’s worth mentioning that I changed the spark plugs, oils, and filters.
Apart from the fuel pressure sensor located behind the intake manifold (in those areas).”
“In fault codes, it shows me the P1647 mentioning the O2.”

yes, but is the o2 making this failure?

The options are:

2. dance round the vehicle and sacrifice a chicken at midnight under a full moon
Diagnostic codes are an aid to targetted troubleshooting. It makes no sense to read the codes and then ignore the results.

That fact in itself may explain the problem. But please note this: running the engine with a low level of fuel in the tank will damage the fuel pump. The pump is cooled by the fuel around it. The most common cause of fuel pump failure in modern cars is repeatedly running with a low fuel level.
DO NOT DO THIS!

Yes, I already put gas in the car but I’m still having the issue. Today, while running tests and checking, it happened again. What I did was put it in neutral and tried to bring it to the rev limiter with several accelerations. Once I did this, the car didn’t fail again until I got home. Do you think it could be related to gasoline (dirty tank, low fuel pressure)? Help. I did the test on my o2 sensor and they are working but, idk.
I know the OBD is indicating an oxygen sensor issue, but it could be due to either lean or rich mixtures. I don’t think the oxygen sensor would limit the fuel to the engine since many cars and brands operate normally with the OBD2 indicating an oxygen sensor problem.

I will do that.
On another note, I conducted a fuel pressure test with a cheap scanner. When the issue occurs, the fuel pressure drops significantly.
is the gas pump or something else?
btw i change the pressure sensor of gas like week ago

The fuel pressure is not stable and this means that the engine speed is also not stable, Cause: you may have an obstructed fuel filter, and/or your fuel pump may be failing (see the comments above in #10 about low fuel levels and pump failure) or you may have a faulty fuel pressure regulator. The fuel system should be checked as the first suspect before doing any thing else.

After that, I cleaned the filters and the pump, and now it’s working properly.
I’ve already ordered the original part from the dealership, and it will arrive in 60 days.
After that, I’ll do a complete engine maintenance again, changing filters and cleaning injectors.
between everything else.
