Default Just Purchased an 05 S Type

Hello I recently just purchased a 2005 S Type with 93K miles for $4300, before this I had a 1999 Mercedes E320 which was totaled in a crash last month so this is my replacement... not too bad considering the Mercedes was dying anyways

Welcome to the forum! Make sure you go to the New members section and post an intro so you can be properly welcomed. This will also put you on the mods' radar so they can upgrade you to full access when you hit the proper gates (10 posts, I think..can't remember the other points)

Nice looking car, sounds like a good deal. You'll find lots of info in this section on common problems and efficient fixes. Enjoy!

Congratulations! Nice looking cat you have there! I was really excited when I got my first jag. This forum has all the help and info one could need. A quick search will help you find just about anything. When you can't find what you're looking for just ask a question and someone will have the answer and some will jump through hoops trying to help you find it. If you want to make your car look 10 years younger follow this link: https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...t-have-109123/

Thanks Onesic, Good catch on the frosted headlights. Happens to a lot of them. Our 05's are still in pristine condition, amazingly. I've shined the 03 a couple of times already, though. That thread was more about the broken internals than renewing the clear lenses, though I did a quick redo in it. There are numerous threads on restoring them, I'll dig out one I did specific to that and edit back a link, others if I find them during the search.

Well, I know I've used the 3M kit on them but guess I didn't post the how-to, maybe because there are already several out there. But this one has a lot of good info in it:
https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/d...ion-kit-48284/

Then I did a quick re-clean with Meguar's DA Paint correction system whilst detailing the car:

(I know I've used the 3M system 'cuz I've got refills on "Subscribe'n'Save" program at Amazon, every 8 mo. or so)

Yeah I saw that after I had posted it but, figured someone would correct me. I do all this from my cell phone with a limited data plan so.. I gotta use as little time as possible. Always willing to help though!

$4300 ! I paid $10K for my 2005 S-Type V8 4.2 about 3 months ago...but I must say a $10K well spent.

I think it must be a 6 cylinder for that low price.
