Default Key fob inop:

Ok so I locked my car & ran into the mall for a half hour. Came out and key fob does nothing. Replaced battery in it and still nothing.... Is this common that the S type key fobs just die? Is there a fix besides going to the dealer and buying a new one and having them program it?

Happens sometimes...but I'm not sure it qualifies as "common." Start using your second one for a few days and then try the one that crapped out on you and see if it has returned to functionality. That has worked a couple of times for me, and someone else here - Jon89 if memory serves me properly.

Might be worth fixing that before it really bites hard.
