l/h headlights
I think the OP is in England where the cars are RHD and wants to take it to Spain where the cars are left hand drive like NA.
Yes I believe that you will have to put Spanish lights in to meet the Countries standards. I am not 100% sure about this.
Since we are mostly a NA Jag site, I would suggest you head to the UK site or a Europe site(if there is one) and ask on there.

I understand that but I don't understand having to switch lights to change the lit area. I know the road angle and oncoming traffic come into play. So if anything he'd just have to adjust the alignment right? Or are the assemblies different too? Like on bikes. Perhaps I'll just stay out of this one. I'm no help here. lol
Like other have suggested aim your headlight down as to not blind the on coming traffic. Very easy to do by the way. I have an 04 S-type with hids & IMHO they light output is very weak. I dont see this being a problem unless you have to pass some kind of inspection?
If travelling on a temporary basis, there are adjusters described in the handbook I think. Lights adjusted that way certainly will not pass the French equivalent of MoT / whatever and I expect Spain is the same. So, for longer/export you will need to change both assemblies. And then still have the driver on the wrong side of the car. Sell it & buy LHD car.......
