Hi Scarlett and welcome to the site. The easiest VIN to find and the one used by authorities is the one on the dashboard, visible through the windshield. It should be on the drivers side and either on the dash or attached to the pillar.
I don't know about Jags that new, but in the past many cars had the VIN also listed inside the glovebox, on the drivers door jam and sometimes under the hood on the firewall.
