looking into s-type jag
Hello,
I'm currenlty looking at a 2k s-type v8 4L Jag(I think this part is obvious) with 115k on the clock. What are the known issues with this car and what should I look for? What kind of gas milage can I expect realisticly?
From what little bit of research that I have done it appears these cars are a hit or miss with realiablity.

After 115k,doesn't matter what car you'll get you will have problems with it.
3 years ago I bought a car(VW) with 119k miles on it. I bought it and as a safety measure I changed the timing belt,water pump,tuned it up,oil change and one alignement( for wich I had to change 2 front struts).It was stick,otherwise I would've changed the transmission fluid too. And after I didn't have any problems with it..until it died of course 2 years later
) it was one of the best deals I have ever made.

RE: looking into s-type jag
2000 S-Types were notorious for problems.. i wouldnt touch one with 115k miles on it unless it was really, REALLY cheap..
i had an '02 Stype Sport that i just traded up - i had it for 6 years and never had a real problem with it, although it only had 55k miles..
