Default Loose rear view mirror

Hi everyone,
I can move my rear view mirror a little where it mounts to the window. Is this on a spring tension type mount like my old XJ6 or is it supposed to be solid. If so is there a way to tighten it? I've heard of these things just falling off sometimes.
Thanks.

Thanks, That does help. It feels to me like the mirror is just loose on the mounting block. I'm assuming that if the block was loose on the windshield it would come off due to the fact that it's glued on.
I will check it out myself and let you know.
Thanks.

It's a wedge type mount, so if you just pull down on the assembly it should tighten up, if the mount is loose the whole thing will come adrift, so either job done or problem identified, hopefully the former.
