Hi as anyone got any pics on where the rear handbrake cable fits on back end of s type before the calipers I have two brackets but can't find where they fit thanks it's 1999 plate
These two pictures are from an early X200, 1999 model. I took them, so there not that great. But should give you an idea.
The cable runs through a bracket seen from the back of the spring in this photo. The bracket is bolted to the subframe with a 10m bolt. Look for a threaded bolt hole that is behind the top of the spring on the subframe. That is, when you look at the assembly from the disc rotor in the direction of the spring. Normally, it has a bracket that is bolted on the frame and bends around and sits at the bottom of the frame. If you find the bolt hole then the brackets you have will bolt to this. There is a smaller hole down from this that the brackets will align with and should then fit into flush to the subframe. I hope this can make sense to you when looking at the photos.
