So as of yesterday I was driving my 03 s type and the mute on indicator kept coming on its done it before a few months ago, but after a few hours it went back to normal but it hasn't yet and I'm not really sure why. when I turn to random radio stations it does it and other it's fine, I've looked on other threads and from what I can gather it might need be the call mute button on my steering wheel because it will mute and unmute repeatedly every 3 to 5 seconds even when idle, it doesn't do it when I press mute on the volume ***. ive looked at the fuses not sure which one controls the radio but none of them seem odd I was hoping it would resolve itself like last time but it's still continuing to do it even after sitting for over 12 hours.

 

If it can happen via the steering wheel I'd suspect a chafed / damaged wire between there & the rest of the circuitry. See the electrical guide for details to help.
