Codes, give us the codes
================================================== ===========
Understeer is when you hit the wall with the front of the car
Oversteer is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car
Horsepower is how fast you hit the wall, and
Torque is how far you take the wall with you

I know 2 possible reasons for other cars to do that:
bad MAF
key chip is bad or not readable

I believe it would not start at all with a bad or unreadable key. Instead, you get a PATS code.

Put a fuel pressure gauge on it and see if you are losing fuel pressure as it is running.

^^^ good idea!

Blocked filter / failing pump - each is fairly common.
