"Wildest Jag ever built"?!?! Give me a break!
Jaguar project 7 - Business Insider
Come on Yahoo... even for you guys that story is weak at best. Must be a terribly slow day in the press room for this contrived story to perk to the top. Yawn story. A green F-type with little changes - oh be still my beating heart and weak knees!
On that note though I did visit San Diego Jaguar dealership today to inquire if all my TSB's/recalls were in order, which they were, and my God some of those cars on the showroom could put a serious hurting on my wallet! Not really a F-type fan but they had a few there that were amazing and also the new XJL would be in my garage now had those silly Powerball numbers come out right dammit!

Not too sure what makes a color change and VERY slight modifications "impressive"? Had they made it hybrid boasting some 750hp, mid engine, or something else other than bold new graphics I'd sit up and take notice. I don't want one, I'd much rather have a number of the ones I saw today on the dealership floor than that one.

The fact that its the fastest production Jaguar to date impresses me for sure. 0 to 60 in 3.8 secs. And at a price of 165K I think it's a bargain. Yahoo's story as far as I am concerned is spot on!

Very nice!
It is along the lines of the AMG for Mercedes and M group for BMW. Take the regular high performance vehicle, add some tricks and bits to the suspension, engine, and body and voila, you have a super-fast car that sells for a lot more money.
Any vehicle that is in the 0-60 in 3.8 range is a hell of a car. This video is interesting as the guy seems to have been involved in development. Note his impressive garage and driveway collection:

Yeah, When I went to the dealer the other day they had a new F-type R coupe. ALL WHEEL DRIVE!! $120 grand.
Looking forward to the reviews. That and 10 years depreciation so I can buy one!

I got a test drive the end of last year with one. As usually the exhaust note is cool and the AWD grip was great although I couldn't get to use it to much. Gets of the line great unlike my XKR and you get a whole lot of traction and sooner. If I were young again I'd consider it but the downside was the ride. It was way to firm but you could expect that so I suspect a long trip would be a challenge. What I think would make it a barn burner seller would be a 6 speed manual .

Jaguar F-Type SVR leaks with more power, aggressive looks
They're getting much closer! Still not the "Wildest Jag ever built", I'd give that to the C-X75 or XJ220, but at least this isn't just "bold new graphics" and very minor engine tweaks. The power is where it should be, body coming along nicely, AWD is a plus, but would still like to see something more supercar like the ones I forementioned.

Totally agree Leeper yes they are getting closer but "The wildest Jaguar ever" title would go to the XJ220 a top speed over 200mph and minimal computer technology to keep it on the road
I agree with the XJ220. Still beautiful, with an interesting back story. But then there is this Jaguar F-Type SVR pictures and details leaked online
