Nav Screen stops coming on
My navigation screen often does not come on, and it only does sometimes. When it’s off I’m stuck with no climate controls. I was told by someone with the same problem that they replaced the nav dvd player in the trunk of the car, so I might try that. Another problem is the disc is stuck in the player and won’t eject. When pressing the eject button it just makes clicking noises and no disc comes out.
The very FIRST thing to do is to ensure that your battery is at full charge. Touch screen issues are one of the first indicators of a battery not supplying enough voltage to the modules.
I see that the above is your first post. Welcome.

Another one bites the dust!
These DENSO DVD player/control units are notorious weakness across the range produced in that era.
Suggesdt you read the discussions and conclusions at . . .

Best wishes in finding suitable replacement player. Perhaps, once your failed unit is out, you can remove the covers and retrieve the disk? If so, getting it out without scratching the disk surface is another of life's little challenges/

The GRB video signal and the screen touch control system does indeed come from the DVD dirive in the trunk/boot.
As well as low battery voltage, these modules can also be affected by moisture getting in the trunk/boot causing condensation inside the DVD unit.
As the liquid crystal screens are now getting old they tend not to like getting very cold and can often have problems when it gets below freezing.
I can see this may well become more of a common problem as the cars get older, but I hope I am wrong!
