Problem with Jaguar SType
Good morning friends, I hope for your help gained from experience with our Jaguar model, for me it is VERY IMPORTANT and URGENT.I have a 2005 SType 2.7 V6 Biturbo Executive that I bought about 4 or 5 months ago.Unfortunately, it has been in the mechanic's shop longer than at home because, when I bought it, it had an injector problem but, for the rest, it ran great and I was in love with this car. However, I decided to take the car to the mechanic as soon as he gave me an appointment, in the meantime I used the car as little as possible and for very short trips.Once the car was in the shop, I took the opportunity to update it (change and calibrate the injectors, change the oil and filters, complete timing kit, replace several things that were faulty, etc...)After almost 2 months with the car in the shop, I was finally able to enjoy it but I still didn't notice that it was going very well at all, I noticed that when I maintained speed (without accelerating or braking), the engine gave me small jerks or pushes. I was observing it without forcing the engine but, after a week, the engine lost power a couple of minutes before arriving at my house. As a precaution, I decided to park the car and call a tow truck to take it to a workshop recommended by several people and that has advanced diagnostic equipment.I was talking to the mechanic about the problem and the recent history. He told me that I should first find out the problem of the loss of power and, to do so, I should gradually dismantle the engine to rule out other options. Finally, 2 weeks ago, he called me to tell me that he thinks he has found the problem. It is a hose or tube that carries the car's electrical wiring and sensors inside it and that, if I ordered the replacement, it could take 2 or 3 weeks to arrive. Logically I asked him to order it but today he called me to tell me that it is discontinued at Jaguar and he cannot find replacements. I am also surprised that this part, apparently, does not have a reference (according to the mechanic). Is this possible? Does anyone know what part it could be?For me it has become a big problem, I am very excited about this car.Any help will be appreciated.Thanks.
I read everything and I would have loved to help, but you don't give me enough information...
What are the failure codes?
You are asking about a tube or hose, which carries the electrical wiring!?!
Firstly, this tube cannot be the problem of you issues, as such a tube has protective function only, not a functional function. The only possible "damage" in that area to effect function would be damaged wires - but obviously fixing the protective tubing does not fix the wires.
Also, "slit protective tubing for wires" are a generic item, which can be bought from any electricians shop.
If you have pictures of the parts, which you are looking for, it would be lots easier.

Deffinately not saying I know what the original problem is, but this sentence triggered me: "the engine gave me small jerks or pushes"
A friend had a diesel BMW with turbo seals leaking which gave exactly the behaviour yout wrote.
Any signs of different color smoke?
