Default Navigation system 1999 Model

I've searched the forums but didn't find anything that suits my problem.

I just bought a 1999 model and I want to put a Navigation System from a newer model, can it work ?
I'm talking about this nav

No, the new one has entirely different everything. Use a Garmin or something.

I got a Eonon unit off ebay for dad's S-Type. I think it's the best of the "cheap" double din headunits. Its got a 6.2" touch screen, GPS, Bluetooth and DVD player.

The adapter to make installation "plug and play"

Here is it installed and powering up. You can customise the startup logo and change the button lighting to green to make it look "factory"

I had to destroy the coin tray underneath to get the unit to tilt to match the dash fascia, otherwise the top would stick out too far.

The main reason I got it is for the rear camera, as its hard to judge where the back of the car is. This is the camera I bought, also from ebay:

170°WIDE Angle CAR Rear View Reverse Reversing Rearview Backup Camera | eBay

To install the camera I had to install a relay as the reverse lights have a constant positive, and by connecting it to the camera it would ground through the radio and switch on the reverse lights. The head unit automatically switches over to the reverse camera when the car is put in reverse. It's almost instantaneous, taking about 1 second even with the radio off. I put the camera under the letter G on the rear garnish. Apologies for the poor photo, it's dark outside and my car is parked just behind it.
