Default Need Opinions on Brake Rotors from Tire Rack

I just checked my brake rotors on my 2000 3.0 S-Type and they are getting near the min thickness. So I was checking on Tirerack.com and they have a good selection of rotors.

The link is:

Has anybody have any experience and/or comments with any of these rotors?

Sincerely,
Jim

Snoot
Yes I have and they are great.
I run the Akebono Pro Act Pads with the Power Slot Cryo Treated,Slotted vent Rotors on all 4 wheels. The Cryo treated makes a difference. Again youget what you pay for. I got mine from theTire-Rack also.
I also run them on my 557 rear wheel HP vett.
They work very well.
Regards

Oilman,

You stated the cryo rotors makes a differance. Could you please specify? What advantages do the cryo treated rotors provide over standard rotors?

Oilman, how do the pads and rotors perform? I've heard that slotted rotors wear down the pads faster. Any truth to that?

When you have the cyro rotors, the metal is changed to a much harder metal. NO warping, last longer. Pads seem to last longer also. Great braking. TheCyro Rotors and Pads stop my 557 rwhp vett nice. I have no complaints on my jag. Go for the extra money and get the cryro's. These are not OEM's, American made by Power Slot, not crap.

S Type R's:

OEM rotors are junk. Due to the relationship between Brembro and Jaguar, the original Brembro Rotors that are on the R types are only available through Jaguar. In factno major brakemanufacturer makes rotors for theS Type R rears unless you want junk from China. No OEM Brembros are available via OEM. Jaguar pricing is quite expensive.

I found a Jaguar Dealership that sell Jaguar parts direct at a big discount.

jpamporschejaguarparts.com is the Internet Parts Store for all your genuine Jaguar and Porsche parts. A Family Tradition for Over 80-Years. Weare an exclusive PREMIER PORSCHE DEALER as well as a PRIDE OF JAGUAR DEALER. Our sales team has the experience and knowledge to get you the right parts, the first time, for the best price.

Their phone number is: 1-800-585-4704

They also have the Brembro Parking Brake pads at a big savings too.
