FWIW, I just bought a set of the OEM Black (flint) mats from eBay for my STR for $75 plus shipping. No logo's, but genuine Jaguar mats. They had a couple of sets left... Linky

I received them yesterday, and they are indeed genuine Jaguar mats.

Will LFN (Flint) match my LEG interior (which is supposedly dark charcoal), but looks black to me. I might go with the nalley ones, my jag logo is worn and beat.

Take care,

George

Hmm.. What is the part number? Is the backing rubber and the grommets metal?

First time I heard no logo = genuine! Sure?

There again, if they're good who cares?

I'll check the part number when I go to my car later today. The backing is rubber and the grommets are metal. The plastic bag they were in had Jaguar logo's and part numbers, so I'll check it later.

The seller looked up my color based on my Vin to verify I needed Flint. It's like a charcoal color, almost black.

Well I got nowhere this am at the Jag dealer regarding the mats. They have nothing in stock for anything as old as my car.

I want to see the GD mats before I spend $160 or $300 for the leather trimmed ones.

So you're have a rubber backing? Is it a foam rubber or a dense rubber?

Here's what I think I'll do for now:

And this probably isn't such a bad idea either:

I would like something a bit more plush for the nicer time of year.

I understand your frustration... I had the same issue. That's why it took me a year to make a decision.

I am looking at the Jaguar parts label. It says "Made to Jaguar Specification in Poland". Part number is XR853917LFN. I checked a few sites and found them listed anywhere from $195.27 here to $57.40 here . As I said, I purchased them off of eBay at what appears to be a Jaguar dealer.

The backing is a pretty hard rubber. The mats that were in my STR when I purchased it last year, were the EXACT same... without logos. I suppose you could have one of the places in the mall add the logo at this price

The body shop lost one of my rear mats, the ordered a complete new set for me, they came with no logo on, they said they got them from the dealer and actually called and let me talk with the parts guy who confirmed that the mats no longer carry the logo.
Progress I suppose.

I use the hexomat's - ordered them online and they are custom cut to fit the S. They fit perfectly and do a good job protecting the floor. I had a set on my X type for about 5 years and they held up great.

I can't remember if I bought them from the website i'm linking, but these are the ones I have (in black). http://www.autoanything.com/floor-ma....aspx?kc=ffsku

For winter, custom cut all weather rubber mats in matching colors, do yourself a favor and look up Lloyd Mats. I have them in both my S and X and they are much nicer fitting than what the dealers have available and are less expensive. Bought mine from www.autoanything.com but there are other places.

I'll look into these too. Thanks guys. Keep the suggestions coming.

Hexomat and Lloyd's look like almost the same thing?

Bob.

Hexomat and Lloyd's are pretty similar, slight difference in the shape of the divots or whatever you want to call them. Hexo's have less rubber between the divots, so the divots hold a little more in exchange for a little less surface on the top face. Either one would work fine, go with whichever you can get a better price on IMHO.
