first check the coolant level sensor is correctly fitted , it locks in like a turn to lock light bulb .
and can fall down a little if not locked in .
located central underneath the coolant tank/reservoir .

the obd2 plug is upwards to one side of the steering column facing down through the lower dash cover trim .

Welcome to the forum.

If your coolant level is good, then you must be getting a false indication. Details on the sensor can be found in this thread:

https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/s...lacment-52090/

It primarily covers the V6 models, but also has some info for.your V8.

Try this to rule out a basic thing.

1. Cold engine
2. Loosen the vent screw on the degas bottle. (right next to the coolant fill cap)
3. SLOWLY pour in the proper fluid mix. Let it stabilize for 5 mins and repeat until full.

This is to make sure you've purged out the air.
NOTE: A mistake I repeatedly made was filling too fast. Once I slowed the fill rate and let it equalize for 5 mins at a time... it was properly filled and I no longer had issues. (did this two different times too)
