nitrous on a str
Has anyone ever put like a 75shot on a the supercharged 4.2 engine if so how would it hold up. I Think with a 75 shot and basic mods these cars would creep into the 11s.
I'm relatively certain that the pistons in our engines are wayy too brittle to spray them.. Maybe if you swapped them out or had them coated you could try it, but in any case, make it invisible and make sure you have a warranty, because the first time you hit the button you might hear a terrible noise as your rod goes through your oil pan..
i Doubt you'd see 11's on 75 shot...mid to high 12's on a stock STR.
Not sure what the pistons are made of, but being a stock supercharged car i would assume they are upgraded.
you will need to upgrade the fuel pump most likely, as thats a standard for adding nitrous.

They handle a 75 wet shot good with a nx window switch kicks on at 2800 cuts off at 6000 havent hit the track but with a torque app it says my 1/4 mile 12.13
Nx electronic window switch and launch in sports mode with traction control on that way if you lose traction nitrous shuts off push button or switches under the gas pedal are no good for our cars due to lack of having a lsd these cars are insanely fast for how old they are with a proper nitrous set up if intrested i can post parts and install set ups

As long as its a wet kit change the fuel filter go 1 stage colder at least gap the plugs to .035 if i remember right you can call ngk and give them your mods and they'll give you the part numbers and gap reguited but if your stock like mine 1 stage colder is good upto a 100 shot
I'm really looking for something from a 60 roll not quarter mile time so much. Most of my encounters are on the highway. How long does normal bottle last on a 75 shot? Figuring 10 second burst it's probably all I will need thanks
Super charged, and turbo engines use forged pistons, and normally aspirated cast. Even a cast piston engine has been shown for dacades across most all makes of cars and engines totally safe to run 150hp shot without issues as long as you dont lean out the engine. I run a 400 plate system on my 79 el camino and a 300hp fogger system on my 87 suburban. The down side. Running out of nitrous, which is why when i buuilt my 05 nissan frontier i dropped a ken bell 2.6l supercharger ontop of the v6 pushing it to 475hp. I left the jaguar alone as its my daily driver and i need at least 1 car that runs on cheaper gas with good mpg.
I think I will go with a 50 shot nozzle to start and work up from there...I am guessing I am around 415 BHP with 1.5 lb pulley, intake, flap mod, and K&N...So a 50 shot will be approximately 465 BHP...That's new base Corvette BHP territory...
