Is it possible that somethings caught in the screws that drive the seat back and forth? I would try cleaning them real good and check for any debris that might be in there and give it a light grease.

I had the same issue. I removed the seat, removed the backets, and blew all the trash out of there. I then put WD40 on the rails and the noise REDUCED...not went away. I think it might be a motor issue, but not 100 percent sure.

I'm not sure WD40 would be the best solution as it will not be durable, probably a coating of graphite lubricant or something similar would be better.
