OBD11 Socket location?

Can someone tell me where the diagnostic socket is on my 99 V8 ?.
On my X300 it was below the dashboard near the selector, but I can't find it on the S

Don't know if the early cars are different but on mine it is just to the right of the steering column, maybe left for you, pointing down.
