Default OBD2 and iPhone

Does anyone know if any of the scanners available for the iphone work with amy 04 jaguar stype? I know there are alot of scanners out there that work but i think an iphone one would be pretty cool. Looked at the gopoint gl1 and also the kiwi wifi. Just don't want to waste the money if it won't work with jags or if it is limited. Thanks

There's "OBDII Car Diagnostics", which look to be just a database of the codes for $3, still nice to have I suppose.

There's one I found awhile ago that uses a wireless transmitter to send the info to your iPhone, which does more than simple ODB scans. I'm still looking for the name.

Alright, here's the one I thought about purchasing: http://www.ot-2.com/

Thanks, that one is kinda expensive especially if i can't get all the jaguar codes. Thinking about trying the gopoint gl1 wired adapter. cheapest to try and not as much of a loss if it doesn't work. trying to get it on ebay for around $60. We'll see

Don't pay that $3 if that's what it claims to be since the proper codes are free in the FAQs or in JTIS. The $3 ones will probably have errors as regards the jag ones (everywhere seems to do this) because most sites ARE WRONG about the P1xxx codes (for most cars, not just for jags).

Gl1 works excellent with the iphone, especially for live data while your driving; go with that one!

I have a 99 XK8. I recently purchased an ELM327 WIFI OBDII OBD2 Wireless Car Diagnostic Reader Scanner Adapter For iPhone from Ebay. I have the iPhone4S. $23.95 then purchased OBD2 Scanner in the Apple App store (Bulat Faizulin) if I recall about $5.00. (there is a $30.00 App - too rich for my blood) The OBD2 Scanner app has many features including the ability of emailing a full report of the engine outputs values. I also Purchased "Engine Link" from the App store - that one works ok, too but not as many features. So, for about a $30.00 you can see what your engine's doing. It Doesn't work with BlueTooth only WiFi.
